The Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting South Brunswick Cougars to 4 in the Buccaneers non-league win on Friday.
The Buccaneers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Green Hope for a non-league test on Saturday, March 15. Laney will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 1-7.
With the defeat, South Brunswick drops to 0-4 on the year. The Cougars host Croatan (Newport, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, March 17. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 0-3. Croatan lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)
