Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Herriman Mustangs (West Herriman, UT) and the host Salt Lake Academy Griffins (Herriman, UT), saw Herriman's soccer squad hold off Salt Lake Academy by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Copper Hills (West Jordan, UT). The Grizzlies enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.

Next up, the Griffins confront the Bingham Miners (South Jordan, UT) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Salt Lake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Miners enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Mountain Ridge (Herriman, UT).
