The Weslaco East Wildcats softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Donna North Chiefs to 0 in the Wildcats league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rivera for a 5A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, March 18. Weslaco East will confront a Raiders team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Donna North moves to 3-10 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX) to confront the Hawks in a 5A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, March 18. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 9-4. Harlingen South won 14-0 in their recent league battle against Porter (Brownsville, TX)
