The Hazen Hornets softball team scored 24 runs and held the host England Lions to 9 in the Hornets league win on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glen Rose for a non-league battle on Monday, March 17. Hazen will encounter a Beavers team coming off a 16-15 non-league win over Gurdon (Gurdon, AR). The Beavers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, England moves to 0-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR) to encounter the Patriots in a 2A Region 6 battle on Monday, March 17. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 5-1. Palestine-Wheatley won 22-3 in their recent non-league battle against West Memphis (West Memphis, AR)
