North Carolina High School Softball - Manteo can't get by Holmes

Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC), 8-7 in a league game.

With the triumph, Holmes upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Aces host Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Eagles in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A game on Tuesday, March 18. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 0-8. Northeastern lost 20-0 in their recent league game against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC)

The Redskins now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host First Flight for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A game on Tuesday, March 18. Manteo will play a Nighthawks squad coming off a 20-0 league win over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 2-0.
