In Friday's non-league match, the visiting John Curtis Christian Patriots softball team scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Opelousas Catholic Vikings.
The Patriots (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA). The Broncos go into the non-league match with a 10-2 record. In their last match, Sam Houston tipped Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 18-6, in a league match.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 14. Opelousas Catholic will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 13-4 record after their 10-0 league loss to Destrehan (Destrehan, LA).
