The North Lamar Panthers softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Pleasant Grove Hawks to 11 in the Panthers league win on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paris for a 4A Region II District 14 battle on Tuesday, March 18. North Lamar will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 17-0 league loss to Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-11.

With the loss, Pleasant Grove moves to 7-5 on the season. The Hawks host Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX) to encounter the Pirates in a 4A Region II District 14 battle on Friday, March 21. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 3-6.
