With the triumph, Poteet upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Pirates host Samuell (Dallas, TX) to play the Spartans in a game on Tuesday, March 18. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 4-3.

The Stallions now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Adams for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 18. North Mesquite will play a Cougars squad coming off a 25-7 non-league win over Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 4-5.
