The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) and the host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX), observed Pioneer's softball team prevail over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest by a tally of 14-1.

The Diamondbacks (12-3) will now prepare for their bout against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 6-6 record. In their last bout, Mission Veterans Memorial was routed by Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 10-9, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Javelinas clash with the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 bout, on Monday, March 17. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Sabercats go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 13-12 league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX).
