Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX), 4-0 in a league match.

With the win, Slaton improves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Tigers host Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to play the Mules in a 3A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, March 17. The Mules go into the outing with a record of 7-5. Muleshoe lost 7-6 in their recent league outing against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX)

The Wildcats (3-7) will now prepare for their outing against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region I District 2 outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Dimmitt was overwhelmed by Shallowater (Shallowater, TX), 12-1, in a league test.
