The Grants Pirates baseball team scored 38 runs and limited the host Capital Jaguars to 5 in the Pirates non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates (8-2) will now prepare for their match against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions go into the non-league match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Farmington trounced Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 17-4, in a non-league match.
The Jaguars (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Taos (Taos, NM). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Taos by St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM), 5-4, in a non-league match.
