The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears got by the visiting Vela Sabercats baseball team by a count of 9-8 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Bears now possess a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host La Joya for a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, March 18. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face a Coyotes team coming off a 8-0 league win over Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 7-6.

Next, the Sabercats face the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout, on Wednesday, March 16. Vela will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 9-2 league loss to Mission (Mission, TX).
