North Carolina High School Baseball - New Hanover loses to Topsail

The Topsail Pirates crushed the host New Hanover Wildcats baseball team by a count of 9-3 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hoggard for a bout on Friday, March 18. Topsail will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, New Hanover falls to 1-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC) to battle the Pirates in a non-league test on Thursday, March 17. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 3-0. Swansboro won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against East Carteret (Beaufort, NC)
