Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Channel Islands Raiders (Oxnard, CA), 13-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westlake for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19.

With the loss, Channel Islands falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Oxnard (Oxnard, CA) to face the Yellowjackets in a challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 3-0.
