The Cairo Syrupmakers soccer team scored 10 points and limited the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes to 0 in the Syrupmakers league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Syrupmakers face the Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA) in a AAAA Region 1 contest, on Thursday, March 17. Cairo will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Bearcats enter the contest with a 4-6 record after their 10-0 league win over Westover (Albany, GA).
The Golden Tornadoes now have a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host Bainbridge for a AAAA Region 1 contest on Tuesday, March 22. Monroe will face a Bearcats team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-7.
