Canutillo Eagles (Canutillo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX), 14-11 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parkland for a 5A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Canutillo will battle a Matadors squad coming off a 8-3 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Bel Air falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Del Valle (El Paso, TX) to battle the Conquistadores in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Conquistadores enter the challenge with a record of 7-12. Del Valle lost 14-11 in their recent league challenge against Ysleta (El Paso, TX)
