Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cedar Ridge Raiders (Round Rock, TX), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Vipers now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hutto for a 6A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Vandegrift will face a Hippos squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to Stony Point (Round Rock, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Cedar Ridge falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX) to face the Warriors in a 6A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Round Rock Westwood lost 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX)
