Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rains for a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 18. Prairiland will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Grand Saline falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Indians host Chisum (Paris, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 18. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
