Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Santa Catalina Cougars (Monterey, CA), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Salinas for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. Stevenson will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Santa Catalina falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Gonzales (Gonzales, CA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Gonzales lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Francis (Watsonville, CA)
