Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) and the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), saw Crest's baseball squad knock off Burns by a count of 4-1.
Coming up next, the Chargers play the Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A battle, on Thursday, March 16. Crest will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 20-0 league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC).
The Bulldogs now possess a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bessemer City for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, March 21. Burns will play a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-7.
