The Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 13-3 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Wolfpack encounter the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 18. Whiteville will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Rams come into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 9-6 league win over South View (Hope Mills, NC).

The Buccaneers now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A contest on Friday, March 17. Laney will encounter a Scorpions squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-1.
