North Carolina High School Baseball - Mount Airy can't hold off North Surry

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting North Surry Greyhounds baseball squad scored a close 6-5 win over the Mount Airy Granite Bears.

Coming up next, the Greyhounds encounter the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 18. North Surry will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 6-0 non-league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).

The Granite Bears now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Wilkes for a Northwest 1A contest on Thursday, March 16. Mount Airy will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-4.
