The Swansboro Pirates lacrosse team scored 12 points and held the visiting Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs to 8 in the Pirates non-league win on Wednesday.
The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars go into the Coastal/Northeastern Coastal match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Croatan was overwhelmed by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 18-4, in a non-league match.
The Monarchs (1-1) will now prepare for their match against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, New Hanover was overwhelmed by Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 15-7, in a league match.
