Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (Fort Mill, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rock Hill for a AAAAA Region 3 challenge on Friday, March 17. Fort Mill will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Spring Valley (Columbia, SC). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Andrew Jackson falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Volunteers travel to North Central (Kershaw, SC) to face the Knights in a AA Region 5 challenge on Friday, March 17. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. North Central won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against McBee (McBee, SC)
