LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph-Ogden for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 17. LeRoy will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Arcola falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Purple riders travel to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
