Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Owls now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midlothian Heritage for a 5A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, March 24.

With the loss, Burleson falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Midlothian (Midlothian, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Midlothian lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Joshua (Joshua, TX)
