The Tuscola Mountaineers softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Franklin Panthers to 0 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Tuscola improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to clash with the Knights in a Mountain Seven 3A game on Tuesday, March 21. The Knights come into the game with a record of 2-2.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 20. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 16-4 non-league win over Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN).
