The Pinecrest Patriots baseball team (Southern Pines, NC), was overwhelmed 5-1 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC)
The Raiders now hold a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoke County for a Sandhills 3A/4A outing on Tuesday, March 19. Richmond will confront a Bucks team coming off a 19-6 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 0-7.
Next, the Patriots confront the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A outing, on Tuesday, March 19. Pinecrest will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a 2-7 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Rolesville (Rolesville, NC).
