In Friday's league battle, the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane soccer squad scored a good 10-0 win over the Sumter County Panthers.
The Purple Hurricane (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cook (Adel, GA). The Hornets go into the 2A Region 1 battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Cook notched a victory over Lanier County (Lakeland, GA), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Berrien (Nashville, GA). The Rebels go into the 2A Region 1 battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, Berrien was overwhelmed by Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA), 5-1, in a league battle.
