East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 9-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, East Duplin upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Panthers host Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to battle the Stallions in a non-league test on Friday, March 22. The Stallions come into the test with a record of 2-3. Southwest Onslow lost 14-2 in their recent non-league test against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC)

With the defeat, South Lenoir falls to 2-2 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Midway (Dunn, NC) to battle the Raiders in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 20. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 1-4. Midway lost 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Triton (Erwin, NC)
