The crowd at Friday's league test between the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) and the visiting Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), saw Grovetown's soccer squad knock off Effingham County by a count of 4-1.

The Warriors now hold a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Lakeside for a 6A Area 2 test on Tuesday, March 19. Grovetown will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Effingham County drops to 2-9 on the season. The Rebels travel to South Effingham (Guyton, GA) to meet the Mustangs in a 6A Area 2 test on Tuesday, March 19. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 9-1. South Effingham won 6-1 in their recent league test against Brunswick (Brunswick, GA)
