Riesel Indians (Riesel, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valley Mills for a 1A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Riesel will face a Eagles squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Belton (Belton, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Axtell falls to 6-2 on the campaign.
