South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Stallions now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Bladen for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. South Columbus will battle a Knights squad coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Knights record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, East Bladen falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Clinton (Clinton, NC) to battle the Dark Horses in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. The Dark Horses enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Clinton lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Rose Hill, NC)
