California High School Softball - San Leandro bounces Encinal

March 15, 2024: Alameda, CA 94501

San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA), 11-6 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host American for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. San Leandro will face a Eagles squad coming off a 16-2 non-league loss to Woodside (Woodside, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Encinal falls to 7-1 on the campaign. The Jets host Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to face the Dons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Acalanes lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA)
