With the triumph, North Stanly moves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Comets host Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to play the Bearcats in a non-league game on Monday, March 18. The Bearcats come into the game with a record of 1-6. Anson lost 16-4 in their recent league game against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, March 19. Union Academy will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Salisbury (Salisbury, NC).
