North Carolina High School Softball - Northside - Pinetown Perquimans

The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC) and the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), saw Northside - Pinetown's softball squad nip Perquimans by a count of 7-4.

The Panthers now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lejeune for a Coastal Plains 1A/2A match on Tuesday, March 19. Northside - Pinetown will face a Devil Pups squad coming off a 12-8 non-league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Devil Pups record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Perquimans falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC) to encounter the in a Four Rivers 1A test on Tuesday, March 19. The come into the test with a record of 2-3. North East Carolina Prep lost 18-12 in their recent non-league test against Hobgood Charter (Hobgood, NC)
