The Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) baseball trounced the host Dimmitt Bobcats (Dimmitt, TX), 13-1 in Saturday's league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Friona for a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Shallowater will clash with a Chieftans team coming off a 21-2 league loss to Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Chieftans record now stands at 2-10.

With the defeat, Dimmitt drops to 8-5 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Idalou (Idalou, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Idalou won 13-7 in their recent league challenge against Slaton (Slaton, TX)
