North Carolina High School Baseball - Laney wallops Green Hope

The Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) baseball trounced the host Green Hope Falcons (Cary, NC), 12-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ashley for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Laney will clash with a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 9-2 non-league win over West Stokes (King, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 7-0.

With the defeat, Green Hope drops to 3-6 on the year. The Falcons travel to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a Southwest Wake 4A challenge on Monday, March 17. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Apex Friendship won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Middle Creek (Apex, NC)
