The Alpine Bucks overwhelmed the host Anthony Wildcats softball squad by a count of 23-0 in Saturday's league challenge.

Next, the Bucks meet the Presidio Blue Devils (Presidio, TX) in a 3A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, March 18. Alpine will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 17-1 non-league loss to Lake View (San Angelo, TX).

The Wildcats (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Tornillo (Tornillo, TX). The Coyotes go into the 3A Region I District 4 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Tornillo was routed by Kermit (Kermit, TX), 14-0, in a league challenge.
