In Saturday's non-league test, the Elkins Elks (Elkins, AR) softball squad got by the host Clarksville Panthers (Clarksville, AR), by a tally of 15-14.
Next, the Elks meet the Lincoln Wolves (Lincoln, AR) in a 3A Region 1 test, on Monday, March 17. Elkins will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 12-7 non-league loss to Gravette (Gravette, AR).
The Panthers (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Perryville (Perryville, AR). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Perryville held off Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR), 14-0, in a non-league test.
