Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Burns upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to battle the Yellow Jackets in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A test on Tuesday, March 22. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 1-6. Bessemer City lost 12-0 in their recent league test against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)

With the defeat, Crest falls to 3-3 on the season. The Chargers travel to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC) to battle the Greenwave in a Big South 3A test on Friday, March 18. The Greenwave come into the test with a record of 3-2. Ashbrook lost 8-2 in their recent league test against Crest (Shelby, NC)
