The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Buena Bulldogs (Ventura, CA) and the visiting Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA), saw Buena's softball squad nip Ventura by a count of 7-1.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Simi Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, March 19. Buena will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Camarillo (Camarillo, CA). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Ventura falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA) to face the Spartans in a match on Tuesday, March 22. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 5-5.
