California High School Softball - Escalon nudges Oakdale

March 16, 2022: Escalon, CA 95320

Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oakdale Mustangs (Oakdale, CA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Manteca for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. Escalon will battle a Buffaloes squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, Oakdale falls to 10-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Calaveras (San Andreas, CA) to battle the in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. The enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Calaveras won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against McNair (Stockton, CA)
