Lake View Wild Gators (Lake View, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hartsville Red Foxes (Hartsville, SC), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wild Gators now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Green Sea Floyds for a A Region 5 challenge on Friday, March 18. Lake View will face a Trojans squad coming off a 21-4 non-league loss to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, Hartsville falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Red foxes host Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC) to face the Seahawks in a AAAA Region 6 challenge on Friday, March 18. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Myrtle Beach lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against West Florence (Florence, SC)
