The South Point Red Raiders softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 8 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, South Point improves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Red Raiders travel to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC) to clash with the Storm in a Big South 3A game on Tuesday, March 15. The Storm come into the game with a record of 3-0. Stuart W. Cramer won 13-2 in their recent non-league game against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)

In their next game, the Golden Lions clash with the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, March 22. Shelby will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
