The James Island Trojans baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes to 3 in the Trojans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Trojans (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Bengals come into the 4A Region 7 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Lucy Beckham by Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC), 8-0, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Ashley Ridge falls to 4-1 on the season. The Swamp foxes travel to Berkeley (Moncks Corner, SC) to encounter the Stags in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. The Stags come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
