North Carolina High School Baseball - Charlotte Catholic gets by Independence

March 16, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 9-7 in a league test.

With the win, Charlotte Catholic upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Sabres in a non-league test on Saturday, March 18. The Sabres come into the test with a record of 7-1. South Mecklenburg won 9-1 in their recent non-league test against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)

With the defeat, Independence falls to 3-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Titans in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 22. The Titans come into the test with a record of 4-3.
