The DeMatha Stags baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Maret Frogs to 1 in the Stags non-league victory on Thursday.
The Stags (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The Eagles go into the Washington Catholic match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Gonzaga edged St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD), 12-2, in a league match.
The Frogs (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Georgetown Day (Washington, DC). The Mighty Hoppers go into the Mid-Atlantic-MAC match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Georgetown Day by St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA), 6-5, in a non-league match.
