North Carolina High School Baseball - Swain County defeats Hiwassee Dam

March 16, 2023: Bryson City, NC 28713

Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Swain County's baseball squad knock off Hiwassee Dam by a count of 14-6.

Coming up next, the Maroon Devils play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A battle, on Tuesday, March 21. Swain County will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Black Knights go into the match with a 0-4 record after their 16-5 non-league loss to Stilwell (Stilwell, OK).

The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Polk County was overwhelmed by Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN), 11-0, in a non-league match.
