Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA), 10-3 in a league test.

With the win, Lanier upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Gainesville (Gainesville, GA) to battle the Red Elephants in a 6A Area 8 test on Monday, March 20. The Red Elephants come into the test with a record of 7-8. Gainesville lost 5-2 in their recent league test against North Forsyth (Cumming, GA)

With the defeat, Jackson County falls to 7-10 on the season. The Panthers host Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA) to battle the Raiders in a 6A Area 8 test on Monday, March 20. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 10-5. Habersham Central lost 14-7 in their recent non-league test against Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA)
